Labels: #ROW80, Kristen Lamb, Light and Dark, pets, Stacy Green, The Prophet, Twitter Tuesday, writingI'm celebrating today! Light and Dark is on track to have the first round of edits complete well before my goal of September 19. There's still a lot of work to do, but things are moving along nicely.
I finally sat down and started working on The Prophet yesterday. First off, Scrivener is wonderful. I'm making my notes/character and plot outlines, and it's completely awesome. Organizing and keeping track of scenes and plot points are so much easier. If you haven't tried it, you need to download the trial version. It will totally change the way you write!
Anyway, I'm back to being excited about The Prophet and looking forward to writing it.
But the real reason for the celebration is that Sammy's coming home tomorrow! He had solid food on Tuesday and kept it down, and there's been no signs of infection. There's always an outside chance, but looks like we're out of the woods. Thank you all for the kind words:)
Now for some links you need to check out:
Juliana Haygert has created an amazing list of links for book bloggers, agents, editors, cover artists, and much more. It's a great resource whether you're self-publishing or going traditional.
Kristen Lamb's Twitter Tuesday post is my favorite of the week so far. Only she could coin the phrases "Twittah Playah" and "Tweep Scout."
For laughs and great writing, check out For the Love of Writing by The Sarcasm Goddess and Annie Boreson's Atoll Annie and the Non-Specific Rim. Both are fantastic writers with a great sense of humor.
How are your #Row80 goals coming?

Congrats on being ahead of schedule! And I'm so glad Sammy is doing well. Good luck with The Prophet. I just finished plotting a new manuscript and am going to start the first draft today.
Thanks, Kelly. Sammy's recovery has been a big relief. Can't wait to bring him home tomorrow.
And congrats on the new MS. Starting the first draft is so exciting. Please keep us posted.
Stacy,
That must feel wonderful to be ahead of schedule! Also glad that Sammy will be coming home tomorrow. Keep that rug he munches on hidden!
Thank you so much for your kind link to my post! Also love the saying Twittah Playah and Tweep Scout...I had yet to discover Kristen Lamb or Juliana Haygert. Of course the Sarcasm Goddess is one of my favorites!
Glad to hear Sammy's on the mend! :) I'm looking at the Cabbage Patch and cracking up. Sometimes...I still do that.
Yay on meeting goals. Feels good, huh?
Thanks for the shout-out!
I'm glad Sammy is better =)
Happy to hear Sammy is better!
And I'm still in tears over the cabbage patch...
Annie
It definitely feels good to be ahead of schedule. Yep, no more rugs or towels for Sammy. And you're welcome for the link. Love all your posts!
Thanks, jess. LOL on the Cabbage Patch. Sometimes ... I do, too.
Juliana, you're welcome. Putting that list together was a very nice thing to do. And thanks.
East Coaster
Thanks so much. LOL, glad I could make you laugh.
Yay for Sammy! And for starting on The Prophet. Here's to building momentum on it! I don't know if I'd try Scrivener. I've heard people rave about it, but I really like my color coded, hand-written notes in my story notebook. Call me old-fashioned. Or crazy. ;-)
Thanks! I honestly think that sitting down with Scrivener and finally understanding everything it could do was a big help. Everything just clicked, and being able to have individual parts where I could see them and keep things straight is awesome.
But, if you can made your notebook work, kudos to you. I'm just not very good at organizing, lol.
Glad to hear the positive news about Sammy! I'm sure you are relieved.
I downloaded Scrivener but haven't taken the time to play with it. Did it take you long to learn? Did you click around or use the tutorials?
Good progress on your ROW80 goals! I'm doing much better this week than last!
Julie
I'm definitely relieved. Things got pretty scary there for a while.
Scrivener intimidated me at first, and then I took Angela James's advice and watched one of the tutorial videos. Once I really saw what it could do, I was hooked.

And yay for doing well on #Row80 this week:)
I'm excited to read The Prophet. I've enjoyed light and dark, but The Prophet has elements that really appeal to me. :D
Congrats on meeting your goals.
I'm excited to start writing it. I need to do some brainstorming with you soon;)
Thanks!
